TARANGIRE/ SERENGETI / NDUTU / NGORONGORO / MANYARA - (AFL 007)
(8 Nights / 9 days Northern Circuit Safari)
Day 1:
Pick up in Arusha, take lunch boxes, game drive en route for Tarangire National Park. This is the best place in Tanzania to see big herds of elephants. Your accommodation for tonight is at Tarangire Sopa Lodge/Tarangire Safari Lodge (FB).
Day 2:
After breakfast, proceed to Serengeti National Park. Game-viewing en route, optional stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum ‘the cradle of humankind”.
Overnight at a Lodge of your choice.
Day 3:
After an early breakfast, have a full day of game drive in the Serengeti,
take a picnic lunch in the bush to maximize game viewing time. An early start
gives the best chance of seeing the big predators such as lion, leopard and
perhaps even a cheetah around the watering places. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Full day game drive in Serengeti. Optional: either return to the lodge for hot lunch, or take along picnics for the day. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:
After breakfast, proceed to Ndutu Safari Lodge, game-viewing
en route. Situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, close to the Serengeti
National Park, overlooking Lake Ndutu. The lodge, a charming resort, has tents
and cabin accommodation facilities.
Your accommodation for tonight is at Ndutu Safari Lodge (FB).
.Day 6:
After breakfast, game drive en route towards Ngorongoro Crater with
packed lunch. On arrival, descend into the crater floor for game viewing. The
crater with its unforgettable blue-tinted slopes, swampy grassland, lakes, and
woods, is home to 30,000 animals, many of which you will see today. Lion,
hyena, cheetah, the rare black rhinos, zebra, warthog, buffalo, wildebeest and
abundant bird life, can all be seen.
Overnight at a Lodge of your choice.
.Day 7:
Depart after breakfast, visit Embakaai with a Ranger. Late afternoon return to your Lodge for sundowner and dinner.
.Day 8:
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Game Drive in
Lake Manyara National Park; this national park is renown for Tree –Climbing
Lions. Your accommodation tonight is at E-Unoto Retreat (FB). Tonight being
your last night, you are in for a special treat, the Maasai Experience at E-Unoto
lodge will cap off a wonderful trip. Built against the escarpment of the Great Rift
Valley this lodge has been constructed with environmental issues in mind. The
lodge resembles an authentic Maasai Village but offers all the comforts of a good
hotel.
.Day 9:
This morning after breakfast you have the option of a Cultural Excursion to a nearby traditional Maasai Village, where you can meet Maasai and discuss their way of life and customs. Maasai guides provide guests with a hike for a true nature experience. This secluded area is a haven for bird watchers, with more than 350 species native to the area. After lunch we will head back to Arusha.
